What is Outreach?

While the editorial team is responsible for what is featured in the magazine, the outreach team is responsible for everything that goes on outside of the pages they work so hard on. We do everything between contacting those who submit to putting on and organizing promotional events and spreading awareness of the magazine. The goal of the outreach team is to make sure that submitting to The Streetcar is a smooth and pleasant experience.

  • Events

    The Streetcar hosts many events throughout the year to encourage people to share their work, and sometimes get feedback before officially submitting. Past events have included Open Mic Nights, Peer Review Potlucks, and guest speakers such as poets, artists, or journalists. To keep up to date with upcoming events check out our CALENDAR!

  • Promotion

    One of the goals of the Outreach Team is to let as many people know about The Streetcar and what we do as possible. Check us out on Instagram!

  • Communication

    Not only are members of the Outreach Team the point of contact for anyone who submits to The Streetcar, but we provide feedback noted by the editorial team and serve to answer any questions any submitter or potential submitter may have.
